Tangential

Tangential Series granulators come in two (2) sizes … the model 2024 and the 2036. The special cutting chamber designs draw the products in question to the lower bed knife, where the cutting action traps the item between the rotor knife and bed knife “jaw”. In this way, the larger items from rotational molding, large injection molding, and blow molding are more easily accepting, ingested, and processed.

The products for the described manufacturing processes, typically contain large amounts of air in their girth, and are prevented from bouncing which could cause a reduction performance.

With hoppers configured for hand feeding of materials, but which are also easily converted to conveyor and airborne transfer of product, these versatile units are a mainstay in the Cumberland line.

Standard Features:

bulletBolted and dowelled cutting chamber.
bulletTangential cutting chamber minimizes part bouncing and optimizes material processing.
bulletDual flywheels increasing cutting torque during granulation.
bulletConveyor feed, double wall sound absorbing hopper.
bullet3 knife high shear as standard.

The Large Tangential Series granulators also feature a tangential feed cutting chamber, which allows for better ingestion of feedstock and the dual flywheels offer standard heavy duty cutting inertia. There is also a mechanical screw jack to lower the screen cradle and a side cleanout door with a safety interlock

Standard Features:

bulletTangential feed cutting chamber
bulletLarge diameter cutting circle (20" on the 2045TF and 30" on the 30 Series) for positive ingestion of bulky feedstock
bulletIntegral full machine sound enclosures
bulletFront access doors with safety interlocks
bulletExternal mounted pillow block style bearings to eliminating grease contamination to material or material contamination to bearings
